Founding conference

After a year of preparation the British Chapter of the Antifascist International is launching on Saturday the 5th of September in Bolivar Hall, London.

It is clear that the British government, whatever political party is at the helm, is getting ready for war: increasing the “defence” budget, military recruitment drives, floating the idea of conscription, and non-stop propaganda against “enemy” nations.

At home, division is sown by politicians, media barons, and social media giants, pitting worker against worker to keep us disunited and weak. Anyone that does speak up against injustice faces an increasingly fascistic bureaucracy that tries to silence dissent by simply declaring it illegal.

Meanwhile, over decades, the “official” movement has sent anyone who has cared enough to do anything down dead ends: marches and petitions that are ignored, writing to MPs that aren’t interested, and donating to organisations that do charity work rather than activism.

Over the past year the British Chapter of the Antifascist International has brought together activists and organisers from many different backgrounds to stand in solidarity with people who are resisting imperialist oppression and exploitation and to link their struggles with British workers.

We desperately need an organisation that can help workers understand the threat that faces them, and that they have the power to do something about it.

Will you join us on September 5 to help us build it? The founding conference will include 3 panels discussions with Q&A. Full details will be sent to registrants.
